The                     comprises of a combination of technologies that record physiological parameters to understand the main regulatory mechanisms and internal environment of the patient.

comprises of 4 modules:

• The ES Oxi module (oximeter connected to the finger) displays the SP02 %, the vascular wave form and heart rate detection and it estimates arterial stiffness and autonomic nervous system activity level.

• The NIBP (Non-Invasive Blood Pressure) module measures the blood pressure.

• The EIS module (DC current in bipolar mode) measures the electrical conductivity of 11 pathways of the human body from 6 tactile electrodes and estimates living tissue acid-base balance.

• The ES-BC module (weak current with a frequency of 50 KHz in tetra-polarmode) measures the electrical resistance of one pathway of the human body and this estimates the body composition

ES Oxi and SP02 %. arterial stiffness and autonomic nervous system activity level:

The oximeter displays the Sp02 %, vascular waveform and heart rate detection. Thesignal analysis of the original vascular waveform (PTG) and the mathematical acceleration of the PTG named Second derivative (SDPTG) provides the arterial stiffness.

Arterial stiffness in expressed in m/s units with normal range from 7 to 9.4.

The heart rate variability (HRV) analysis in short time provides the autonomic nervous system activity level from indicator in time domain (SDNN, RMSSD, and Total Power) and frequency domain (LF, HF and ratio LF/HF).

EIS and living tissue acid base balance:

With direct current, the plasma membrane acts as an insulator and the current is not able to penetrate the cell, so most of the current flows around the cell and therefore in the interstitial fluid. Analysis of the direct current at the cathode and anode in electrolytic solution is performed at both the anode and the cathode.

Analysis at the cathode

The electrochemical reaction at the cathode is:

2H20 + 2e= H2 (gas) + 2 OH-(base)

Analysis at the anode

The electrochemical reaction for water at the anode is:

2H20 = 02 (gas) + 4H+ + 4e- (acid)

The delta of conductivity between the pathways anode cathode minus cathode anode expressed in IlSi unit represents the tissue acid base balance with a normal range from 4 to 6 IlSi.

Analysis of the acid-base balance provides information about microcirculation of the tissues between the 11 pathways as well as tissue damages.

The relationship between the body's resistance to a weak electrical current and the body's composition has been examined using a number of other independent and more elaborate techniques (10)

Fat mass is expressed in Kgor pounds units and the percent of the total weight and normal range in accordance with the gender and age.

These four modules have all their parameters precisely measured by the different technologies. The benefits of integrating all these technologies in one system is to better understand the interaction between the different regulatory mechanisms and the patient's physiological responses to any type of diseases, treatment or life style changes. The results are also provided with a scoring system and with a statistical software analysis.

Regarding the oximeter data, it is important to note that our analysis of the pulse waveform is unique and we showed during a study in Miami University that we are able to extract the cardiac output (CO)and the systemic vascular resistance (SVR) from this for the first time.

The bio impedance techniques used in the ES Complex are also unique and there is no other device in the world that assesses the tissue acid-base balance and microcirculation like the EIS system.
